I wholeheartedly
believe in organic and natural produce, especially when it narrows
down to beauty and skincare. A few months ago, I went on a hunt,
reading articles about homemade face masks and scrubs using 100%
natural ingredients, kind to the skin, oils, aromas, shaving creams,
body butters, and more. Whilst searching through the internet I had
also come across a particular article informing readers about the
harmful and synthetic chemicals found in our beauty products, which
is a topic that I strongly believe is not being discussed enough.
I feel that many
bloggers, beauty bloggers, young girls and general users of make-up
and skincare don't pick up on, or consider the affect of what they
are putting onto their skin. There are many chemicals found in our
products such as sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens and phthalates which
can all cause problems relating to kidney and respiratory damage,
skin allergies, infertility and even cancer. That nude lipstick in
Rose Petal is gorgeous but did you read the ingredients whilst
browsing or even buying? Do you really know what you're consuming? We
absorb 60% of what we put onto are skin, so why not make sure that
it's a product with wonderful and natural substances. ( You can read
in detail about what is found in our products here, if you would like
more info. )
For those of you
wondering where to start finding products that are organic, natural
and inexpensive, do your research. I would highly recommend Etsy,
there are so many wonderful handmade products that you'll come across
from bars of soap to bath bombs. If you fancy being a little more
adventurous check out Pinterest and start making your own raw and
chemical-free home remedies. You'll be surprised that most recipes
include items found in the kitchen, are super simple to make and take
no time at all.
1.Virgin Coconut Oil
Moisturiser
My all time favourite
moisturiser so far! I had struggled finding the right formula that
was perfect for my skin, and I definitely think this is the one for
me. Light, non-greasy and non-irritable, its full of wonderful
bioactive, natural and organic ingredients from Shea Butter, Argan
Kernel Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Pomegranate Seed
Oil, Mango Fruit Extract, the list goes on! It's free from synthetic
colours, mineral oils and silicones, not only does it moisturise it
also hydrates, nourishes, protects from cell-damaging and smells
divine. You definitely couldn't go wrong with this product, and I'm
sure it's something I'll buy again and again.
2. Tea Tree Wet Wipes
3. Snail Gel Moisture Mask
2. Tea Tree Wet Wipes
Please note if you are
going to purchase these, they are not make-up wipes. I made the
mistake thinking they were. However, they are ideal for on the go
and if you need a refreshing pick me up for face and body.
Snail Gel? Reeeeeally?
I know what you're thinking, gross and unusual. Whilst watching one
of Lisa Eldridge's Korean Beauty Haul she had mentioned Snail Gel
being an extremely popular product used amongst Korean women. I was
quite sceptical when buying the mask, I wasn't entirely sure if I
wanted to smother my face in snail liquid. Snail Gel supposedly helps
with anti-ageing and also the reduction of scars as well as
moisturising. There are also creams part of the Dr. Organic range if
you are interested. I'm still yet to try this mask out, and will let
you know when I do!
What were your thoughts
on this post, and have you tried any Dr. Organic Products?
*Picture and products
featured above are mine. Items were purchased from Holland &
Barrett.
Great post! I've always wanted to try snail gel products. Let me know how it went, cause I might have to try it too! :)
